Welcome...

...to the Folk Federation of South Australia. Amongst the pages of this web site, you will find a wealth of information about the folk arts and folk community in this state - from festivals to dances; folk venues to radio programs; concerts by international and local groups and performers, and a whole lot more besides.

If you want to know what's happening around the folk scene in South Australia for the current calendar month, check out the What's On page of this site.

If you want to know what's happening at our venue, go to the Folk Centre section of this site, and follow the Current Program link there. Don't forget to look at the Future Events page for a list of gigs and events coming up throughout the year.

The Folk Federation of SA is a non-profit community organisation which actively promotes and supports a wide range of folk arts.

What we do...

FESTIVALS & FAIRS
Traditionally, the Folk Federation had a reputation for staging two of the best folk festivals in South Australia. The former Victor Harbor Folk Festival, and the former Medieval Festival at Carrick Hill.

With the establishment of the S.A. Folk Centre, the Federation's focus has shifted from huge annual events like the Festivals to creating one of the best live acoustic venues in South Australia.

While we hope to return to staging Festivals in the future, our main focus at this time is to build on the successful program of activities and events that we have begun at the Centre. As we like to say,

"Welcome to the Folk Centre - the home of the year round festival".
